DC’s new upcoming feature film will be about a young boy named Billy Batson who has the ability to channel the abilities of the powerful Wizard Shazam, the powers of “the gods” – Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeus, Achilles, and Mercury.
The film, currently titled Shazam! will feature Zachary Levy as Captain Marvel -the man Billy transforms after yelling Shazam!- and will be directed by David F. Sandberg (Lights Out, Annabelle: Creation) with a screenplay by Henry Gayden (Earth to Echo) and Darren Lemke (Goosebumps).
But now, it seems like a new addition is currently undergoing as, according to Variety, Grace Fulton (Annabelle: Creation) is in talks with Warner to join Levy in the solo film, but no word on what role she’ll be playing, only that she’ll be “one of Batson’s friends”.
Shazam will mark the reunion of David F. Sandberg, Grace Fulton and Peter Safran -he’ll be acting as executive producer of this film- as they were part of Annabelle: Creation by directing, acting and producing it, respectively.
Another actor in talks to join this project is Mark Strong, who according to the Wrap might be playing the main villain.
