Kevin Kwan’s debut novel, Crazy Rich Asians was a hit as soon as it hit shelves back in 2013. It didn’t take long before the book was optioned for a film adaptation and now, we excitedly await its arrival to theaters.
Crazy Rich Asians is set to star an all-Asian cast with its lead roles of Rachel Chu and Nick Young being portrayed by Constance Wu and Henry Golding, respectively. The stars will be on the cover of the upcoming Entertainment Weekly, as we get our first look at the on-screen couple before the movie arrives next year.

For those who have not read the book, here’s a little bit of the synopsis. Rachel is an NYU economics professor who is going to Singapore with her boyfriend, Nick, for the first time. While there, she is meant to meet his family and attend a wedding, but what she believes will be a friendly encounter is anything but. Unaware that her boyfriend’s family is one of the richest families in Asia, leaves Rachel in for a shock. Rachel will have her hands full dealing with people who are less-than welcoming and want nothing more than to force a wedge between her and Nick.
