Anticipation is always high for the release of a superhero movie and this weekend is expected to be no different. Thor: Ragnarok premieres everywhere this Friday and Fandango is reporting that it’s currently outselling the presales of Spider-Man: Homecoming, another piece of the MCU which was released back in July. Ragnorock has even out-sold the pre-bought tickets for both of the previous movies in the trilogy, Thor: The Dark World which was released in 2013 and Thor which came out back in 2011.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opened to about $117 million while Ragnarok is currently on track to open somewhere in the $100 million to $118 million range, beating its international debut last week of $109 million.

Thor: Ragnarok revolves around the Norse God being not only imprisoned but also forced to fight in a gladiatorial like contest for his life while Goddess of Death Hela attempts to destroy Asgard permanently. Both Thor and Bruce Banner were absent from the last two films to feature members of the Avengers team (Homecoming, Civil War) and will be forced to fight against each other for survival in Ragnarok, and yet, the film has an upbeat energy about it which is a bit of a change from what we’ve seen in the Thor Trilogy so far.

Have you already bought your tickets for the movie? Tell us about it in the comments below!

Thor: Ragnarok will be released into theaters on Nov. 3rd.
