FromSoftware’s popular action RPG Bloodborne will be getting an expanded story in the form of a comic book next year. The series, Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep, will be published by Titan Comics, who are the publishers of the Dishonored and Dark Souls books. The series will follow a nameless hunter battling dark creatures in the cursed city of Yharnam.
Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep will be written by Ales Kot (Generation Gone, Zero, Secret Avengers) who declared to be “obsessed” with the PlayStation 4 game. Piotr Kowalski, previously known for the Wolfenstein and Dark Souls books, will be the artist for the new series as well.
In a press release, Kot publicized his passion for the game, which has fueled his eagerness to be a part of the comic:
“Bloodborne is one of my all-time favorite games. I put close to two hundred hours into playing it and researching its universe, and that was before I even knew there would be a comic — I was obsessed. I am honored to be working within the Bloodborne universe …”
Issue #1 of Bloodborne: The Death of Sleep will be available February 2018 digitally and in comic stores.
