Warner Bros. is adapting Danielle Vega’s young adult book Survive the Night. Tackling the script will be the writer behind the hit comedy Girls Trip, Tracy Oliver with Pharrell Williams joining the team.
Oliver will write the script and direct the music-themed horror thriller. Williams will produce with Mimi Valdes, his partner at I Am Other Entertainment, and Leslie Morgenstein and Elysa Dutton from Alloy Entertainment who recently produced Everything Everything starring Amandla Stenberg and Nick Robinson.
Survive the Night by Danielle Vega
The story follows a group of young female college students who find themselves trapped inside an underground warehouse music festival on Halloween night. There, they have to fight for their lives against a mysterious attacked hunting them. Oliver and producers aim for the project to be a grounded empowerment story about the four female friends.
