Tyler Perry Had Talks With Marvel and DC
Director/actor Tyler Perry has found success in his own comedies and dramas, but would he ever consider breaking into superhero movies?
In an interview with Screen Rant, he said he spoke to Marvel and DC, but ultimately wasn’t interested in trying his hand at a big superhero blockbuster.
“I’ve had a couple of conversations, but I would always say, ‘I’m not the guy to do this,'” said Perry. “I’m not the guy that can bring this vision to life cause it takes such a village to pull it together, and I’m not a guy that can work with fifty other directors and producers telling you what to do, how to do it, when to do it. That doesn’t work for me. I saw that in a couple of the sci-fi movies that I’ve been apart of and I think, ‘Uhh, I’m not doing that.'”

The sci-fi movies Perry is talking about are most likely his appearances in Star Trek and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.
Currently Perry can be seen in his latest Madea comedy Tyler Perry’s Boo 2! A Madea Halloween, which opened in first place at the box office with $21.6 million.
