‘Gambit’ Character Breakdowns Hint At Sequels

It seems the Gambit train is now boarding for passengers. The film had been going through development hell with constant script changes, story direction issues and multiple directors dropping out of the project.

Now, Pirates Of The Caribbean director Gore Verbinski will be sitting in the director’s chair to see this project through until the end and with that the casting process has begun. Channing Tatum is still attached to star as the charmingly, deadly mutant assassin Remy LeBeau aka Gambit and now The Hashtag Show has gotten it’s hands on a character breakdown sheet for actor’s to audition.

The character breakdowns have codenames but if you’re a fan of the X-Men universe, then you can piece together who these characters really are. Go to site to see the full breakdowns HERE. But the interesting thing about these breakdowns is that they list “possible sequels” at the end of the paragraphs.

Fox never confirmed if they planned on making multiple stand-alone Gambit films or if they just wanted to give a one-off to such an iconic character but this could mean the latter. Perhaps, it also could mean that some characters may make their way into the ensemble X-Men films, especially if the villain Mister Sinister is concerned. Only time will tell. We will keep you posted on more Gambit news as it is revealed.

What do you think of this news? Should Gambit get the same treatment as Wolverine and get multiple films? Is he better off being apart of the X-Men? Let us know in the comments below.
