Jacob Batalon Wants Venom in ‘Spider-Man’ Sequel
Ever since Spider-Man: Homecoming finally joined the MCU, fans have been wondering how this new take on the web slinger and his world would unfold. One aspect in particuar was the hope that a live action version of Venom would come into play.
That wish is coming true now that Tom Hardy has been confirmed to play the Spider-Man villain in a stand alone film but unfortunately this film will not be connected to the MCU in anyway. That may be bad news for some but there are still fans hoping that Venom will make his way into the MCU somehow.

During an interview at New York Comic Con, Spider-Man: Homecoming actor Jacob Batalon expressed how he wants Venom to be the villain in the next Spider-Man film.
“It would be interesting to see like Venom, but thats just me though. We’ll see what happens. I’m not gonna say nothing else.”
You’re not alone Jacob. There are a plethora of people who are hoping the same thing. The Venom film is still in its early stages so perhaps that can change.
