The Walking Dead: Norman Reedus Talks Daryl in Season 8 “He’s Ready to Kill Everybody”
Season 8 of the hit-zombie show returns to AMC on October 22nd, 2017 and Norman Reedus sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about Daryl’s motivations and mindset going forward.
Having already warned fans that Daryl would be “going rogue” Reedus clarified that he was out for revenge following his torturous ordeal in season 7. He says:
“He’s just got revenge on his mind this year,” says Reedus. “He’s ready to kill everybody, no matter what the group says, no matter what anybody says. He’s just like, ‘Nah, screw it. Everybody dies.’ He’s very focused on revenge.”
Norman Reedus also talked about his experience on set for season 8 in comparison to last year, saying that:
“Season 8 feels like our old show again. The people I like working with the most are the ones I’m working with again. The gang’s back together. The fight’s back in it. Last year was so rough. It didn’t feel like our show and I know it is our show, and you’ve got to do stuff like that, but last year felt so disconnected. Everyone was so disconnected in the core group. So it feels like it used to feel again which is really exciting.”

The threat of Negan still looms large.
Are you looking forward to Daryl’s arc in season 8? Will he get his revenge on Negan?
