Bryan Fuller Discusses Plans for ‘American Gods’ Season Two
The first season of the STARZ series American Gods established the intertwined stories of its many metaphysical characters. Season one ended with Shadow finally finding out what he’s gotten involved in.
In an interview with Nerdist, showrunners Bryan Fuller and Michael Green discussed what’s ahead in season two.
“The second season has so much more energy and drive than the first season, because we spent eight episodes trying to establish a vocabulary, not only for the audience, but for Shadow Moon to understand the world that he’s been plunged into,” said Fuller. “We ended that season with an awareness that gives us the opportunity to go further and dig deeper for these character stories now that everybody’s on the same page.”

Fuller also described filming at real life tourist destination The House on the Rock.
“It’s unlike any other place I’ve ever been to; it is a wonderful amalgamation of kitsch, camp, and curiosity,” he said. “It’s my favorite place on the continent.”
American Gods is based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and is set to return in 2018.
