‘Wonder Woman’ Sequel to Begin Filming in June 2018
With the success of Wonder Woman earlier this year, a sequelfor 2019 had been confirmed with both Gal Gadot returning to reprise her role as Diana Prince and Patty Jenkins returning to direct.
Omega Underground is reporting that the film will begin production sometime in June 2018 based off of a recent production listing for Wonder Woman 2.
The listing also has a brief snippet of the synopsis which reads:
The sequel will be a period piece, with Princess Diana facing off the Soviet Union during the 1980s.
No further details about the upcoming sequel were given, but earlier this year it was announced that both Jenkins and Geoff Johns had begun to write the treatment for the Princess of Themyscira’s next film.

Wonder Woman hit cinemas this June to rave reviews from critics and movie goers alike, ending its theatrical run with a total gross of $821.4 million globally. This places the film in the number two spot for 2017 domestic grosses and the number seven spot for 2017 worldwide grosses.
