Kevin Feige is Open to Having an All MCU Convention

If there’s two things Disney loves, it’s branding and synergy. Both of those are on display at its biannual D23 Expo and Star Wars Celebration conventions.

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe releasing its 17th film, Thor: Ragnarok, this November, Fandango asked Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige about the possibility of an MCU convention.

“Over the years there have been discussions about that,” he said. “I think what we try to do occasionally in San Diego we’re very proud of and think is a fun tradition.”

“That being said, I think Celebration is pretty amazing. I’ve been to a few Celebrations and the idea of doing something like that…I think we have enough content, and enough fans, and enough ideas that we could easily do something like that, I’m just not sure where or when,” he continued.

Marvel Studios had a big presence at this year’s D23 Expo, with a booth featuring Black Panther and Thor: Ragnarok costumes, as well as cast signings and special appearances and footage during the live-action movies panel.

Would you be interested in attending an MCU convention?
