Sylvester Stallone is Directing and Producing ‘Creed 2’
Creed was the story of Adonis Creed, son of Apollo Creed, trying to make a name out of himself in the boxing world. But he wasn’t alone, as Rocky Balboa, once again played by Sylvester Stallone himself, was there to train him.
After its premiere, Creed turned out to have a solid box office performance, earning around $173 million worldwide, and being well received by critics, with a 95% of approval on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 260 reviews, and an average rating of 7.9/10.
Is because of everything above mentioned that a sequel was not off the table, but when director Ryan Coogler signed up with Marvel to direct the upcoming Black Panther, the possibility of a sequel coming soon to us seemed unlikely.
A few weeks back, Stallone teased that both him and Michael B. Jordan, who played Adonis in Creed, were getting ready for 2018, with the hashtags #Creed2 #MGM -the studio producing the film- #fitness and #Rocky

Around that time, he also teased the possibility of a screenplay for Creed 2 with the possible appearance of Ivan Drago, played in Rocky IV by actor Dolph Lundgren, again confirmed by the use of hashtags: #writers cramp, #rockybalboa, #drago, #adoniscreed #MGM
Now, after much tease and speculation, the actor/director confirmed through his Instagram account that he will in fact direct and produce the sequel for Creed, once again returning with Michael B. Jordan, and that the film will premiere next year.
