Professor Pyg Will Be “the Darkest, Creepiest human being” in ‘Gotham’ Season 4

Many Batman villains have walked through the lines of Gotham characters, some in minor roles some in bigger roles, and while season four has teased us the beginning of Bruce’s ways to become the Batman, it has also teased us more villains coming his way, like Scarecrow and Professor Pyg.

During New York Comic-Con this past weekend, the stars of Gotham spoke on the arrival of  Professor Pyg, played by actor Michael Cerveris -better known for his role as September on Fringe-.

According to Donal Logue, our Captain Bullock in the series, the actor is capable of bringing us one of the most terrifying villains we’ve seen so far.

“We have Michael Cerveris coming in and playing Professor Pyg and he’s such an incredibly gifted actor and, as happens a lot, the gentlest and most gifted of artistic souls can play the darkest, creepiest human beings known to literature or film.”

Is natural to think that Bullock won’t like Pyg’s appearances in the streets of Gotham, but… what will the Kingpin of Gotham think of his arrival? Will he join him or will he want him defeated?

According to actor Robin Lord Taylor, our Penguin, on the personal side, he feels like Pyg’s addition to the show will bring “something else” to the table.

“I’m really really excited for people to see Professor Pyg. He’s coming in in the next episode and he’s played by Michael Cerveris, who is a genius actor … just absolutely brilliant. Visually, and his performance is transformative, so I’m really excited for people to see it because it’s really been something else to watch.”

There’s no word yet on when Pyg will arrive, and we’ve yet to see any teases of him in trailers or promos, but the promise of his presence gives us more than enough excitement for it to happen.

What do you think about this news? Are you excited to see Professor Pyg?
