‘Justice League’ and ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Dominate Social Media

Thanks to New York Comic-Con, we had some amazing trailers this past weekend, like for Pacific Rim Uprising or Hey Arnold!, but two events shone brighter than everything else at NYCC, events that were trending on social media for most part of Sunday and Monday morning.

The first of this so called events was the release of the final Justice League trailer, where we were able to witness a little bit more of the team dynamic and tone of the film apart from hyping more the expectancy of its release.

According to Variety, the trailer itself generated more than 190,000 new conversations surrounding the film. One could also point out that, in the Marketing area, Warner has been stepping up its game with great cool posters and trailers that, although visually stunning, doesn’t reveal a lot of the story of the film.

The second “event” was the announcement that, today during Football Night, we will have a brand new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, making every single Star Wars fan want to cry and scream out excitement.

The announcement of the trailer generated more than 23,000 new conversations last week, as it was also revealed that tickets will go on sale right after the trailer.

However, director Ryan Johnson has advised that, for those who want to “come in clean” should avoid the trailer as it might spoil some things.

While this past summer’s box office took a hit, blockbusters have still been doing well and keeping strong, with Marvel, DC, Warner and Fox remaining at the heads of earnings and screenings.

For the remaining of the year, we still have some bit hits waiting for us, like Pixar’s Coco, Marvel’s Thor Ragnarok, Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Warner and DC’s Justice League, Guillermo Del Toro’s Shape of Water, among others, so the hype for this half of the year is real.

What do you think about this news? Are you excited for tonight’s trailer?
Let us know in the comments below!

The League will unite on November 17 while the Last Jedi will be found on December 15.
