Many of us grew up watching Batman: The Animated Series, the beloved 90’s cartoon about the cape crusader and his quest to save Gotham City, so for the most part, is a show  close to our hearts.

This past weekend was the New York Comic-Con, and in the panel celebrating the 25th anniversary of Batman: The Animated Series, it was announced that a remastered Blu-ray version of the acclaimed series was scheduled to be released in late 2018.

In the panel were present the series co-creator Bruce Timm; the recently retired producer Alan Burnett; Barbara Gordon’s, a.k.a Batgirl, Tara Strong and Kevin Conroy, the man who has been Bruce Wayne and Batman for the longest time.

Although it is great news, there’s no intel on wether it will come to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray as well or wether they will come out as individual Blu-ray package, like the four volumes in which the DVD sets were released, or will only be release on one single Blu-ray set with the 85 episodes from the original series plus the 24 episodes of The New Batman Adventures.

What do you think about this news? Are you excited for the Blu-Ray of Batman: TAS?
