Season 5 of Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Brings Back Important Marvel Artifact
Today at New York Comic Con, the panel for Marvel’s Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. reveals that an artifact from the past is making a comeback.
Convention goers were given a treat of seeing the first few minutes of the upcoming season premiere. According to CBR, the monolith will be resurfacing in a different way.
The excerpt below is from the premiere’s post credit bumper, when Coulson and the other members of the team were caught in another frozen state.
When Coulson and the team — with one exception — are taken from the diner, they are moved to a new location while still frozen. Once they’re freed from their paralysis, they find themselves greeted by the sight of a monolith similar to the one that transported Simmons to Maveth.
The excerpt continues to describe the rest of the clip, which hints the monolith’s expanded powers.
The monolith sends the rest of the team, we do know that it transports Coulson to a space station that is experiencing an invasion. And he isn’t the only human being that’s been transported there — upon his arrival, he is greeted by several others who are still frozen in time.
The description of the monoliths return, as well as new of the Kree being introduced this upcoming fifth season shows that the Agents are going to be in for an interesting new arc.
The fifth season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will premiere December 1, 2017 at 9pm.
