Star Says Final Season of ‘Game of Thrones’ Begins Filming Within Days
Since the moment the game-changing seventh season of Game of Thrones ended fans have been wondering when it would return for its final six episodes.
One of the series’ stars has confirmed that filming is set to start on season eight in days.
Liam Cunningham, who plays Ser Davos, told fans at a Hammerstein Ballroom event during New York Comic Con that the cast was due to meet up for table reads this week.
“We’re doing the first table read on Sunday for the first three episodes, second table reading on Monday, then we start rehearsals, then we start shooting,” he said.
Last time we were in Westeros, Arya and Sansa finally got revenge on Littlefinger, Jon and Dany slept together and the Night King led the Army of the dead across the wall with his new ice dragon.
So, yeah there’s a lot to figure out.
HBO has yet to announce when the final season of Game of Thrones will premiere, but rumors have long suggested 2019.
