Natalia Cordova-Buckley To Be Series Regular On ‘Agents Of SHIELD”

Natalia Cordova-Buckley first appeared on Agents of SHIELD in the season three episode “Bouncing Back” as the super-fast Inhuman named Yo-Yo. Ever since then, she has been a force to be reckoned with on the popular Marvel series in its latter seasons.

Now, Deadline is reporting that Cordova-Buckley has been bumped up to a series regular on the show. Here’s what the executive producers Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen and Jeffrey Bell had to say about her;

“Natalia is a powerhouse in her work and in her daily life, and she has imbued one of our favorite characters with her natural strength and humor. Natalia was instantly a part of the S.H.I.E.L.D. family the first day she walked onto set, and we’re happy she’s now an official member of the S.H.I.E.L.D. team.”

Natalia’s character even starred in her own series for digitial release entitled Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD: Slingshot. The show was nominated for an emmy and solidified the staying power the character Yo-Yo has has become. This announcement comes two days before the cast of SHIELD will attend New York Comic-Con, giving Cordova-Buckley and her castmates one more thing to be excited about.
