The latest DC Comics show to head to The CW network has added another enemy for its title character. Jill Scott is set to join Black Lightning as the villainous, Lady Eve.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Scott’s character will serve as the bridging point between Tobias Whale (Marvin “Krondon” Jones III) and a group of corrupt officials.

Lady Eve will seem harmless, posing as the owner of a local funeral parlour but will soon become one of Black Lightning’s most formidable foes.

In DC Comics, Lady Eve is a member of the Kobra Cult but thus far there hasn’t been any news on whether this will play a part in the Black Lightning series.

In regards to Scott’s casting, executive producer and show runner Salim Akil said, “Jill is an amazing artist who can embody any character and give them an authentic voice that is both nuanced and richly complex. I am excited to see her in the role of Lady Eve.”

Scott joins a cast that already includes Cress Williams (in the title role), Christine Adams, China Anne McClain, Nafessa Williams, Damon Gupton and James Remar.
