Kate Winslet Joins the Cast of ‘Avatar 2’
Kate Winslet is reuniting with director James Cameron, whom she met with Titanic, the acclaimed movie back in 1997. Now, 20 years later, they’ll work together once more in an acclaimed, high-budget project.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Winslet will appear in the sequel of Avatar, but made no clarification as to wether her inclusion will be for just one movie or all the sequels the director has planned. According to IMDb, the name of her character is Ronal.
Currently, the filmmaker is shooting in Avatar 2 and Avatar 3, with plans to start filming 4 and 5 soon after, again simultaneously.
So far, the cast confirmed for this sequels include Stephan Lang and seven young actors where among them are the sons of Jake Sully and Neytiri.
Winslet will be soon seen in theaters with the thriller The Mountain Between Us, appearing alongside Idris Elba. Another project of her premiering soon is Woody Allen’s Wonder Wheel for Amazon, which is set to premiere in December.
