Details, Interviews and Stories Revealed About ‘Justice League’

With only less than two months until Justice League premieres in theatres across the globe, there’s still so much we don’t know about the movie. For some, that might be better, as knowing too much could spoil things that are better left unknown, but as a trailer is rumoured to pop up this week and Empire Magazine has revealed interviews, details and spoilers, remain in the dark could be proven a little difficult.

In the article here written you will found a breakdown of everything that Empire revealed, so if you wish to remain unspoiled, read this article with care, as it might spoil you some things. Nothing mayor, but is a spoiler nonetheless. However, there’s a mention of the infamous moustache, so I suggest you keep reading.

Talking with Empire Magazine, Gal Gadot talked about how, despite popular belief that due to Wonder Woman’s great performance Justice League would feel like a Wonder Woman film, Justice League is still its own movie.

“I did one week,” she says about the reshoots. “Diana serves as the glue of the team. She finds moments to support every one of the team and make them feel stronger or believe in themselves. But this is not a Wonder Woman movie.”

When talking about the reshoots and complications around them, a very important featured was the fact that, because of Cavill’s involvement in Mission: Impossible 6, the moustache the actor is wearing would have to be removed using CGI.

The mustache.

When interviewed about Superman’s involvement in Justice League, actor Jason Momoa joked that Henry Cavill was gone.

“Henry? Rest in peace. He’s working with Tom Cruise now. He’s doing alright.”

But Ben Affleck had some thoughts about that moustache.

“It was a full-on porn star moustache. He looked like a porn star from the ’70s, just with a better body. It’s a different twist on Superman.”

We know that reshoots mean Joss Whedon’s name would come out eventually, as he is in charge of them and was responsible to overlook them after Zack Snyder’s departure of the film.

However, talking with Empire, Ezra Miller took the chance to say that everything that we will see is Zack’s film, and that the dark tone for all the heroes was for them to be able to raise and bring colour to the DCEU.

“The first time I ever sat in Zack’s office, he told me people were mad at him for making things too dark. Zack always intended for the Justice League to rise out of the darkness, and maybe even bring Batman with them. Maybe an inch.”

But that’s not the only pressure in the film, as according to Ben Affleck, it doesn’t feel like the whole world in on their shoulders but there’s a lot at stake.

“It maybe takes a bit of pressure off of this movie in terms of needing to define the DC Universe. It doesn’t feel like the whole world is riding on our shoulders so much.”

But he did told Empire that, to this date, is the biggest film he’s ever been and its more than we could ever imagine.

“The movie’s bigger in scale than any movie I’ve been involved with in my career. It feels massive in terms of the visual elements. That’s something that Zack is really good at. That will be admired.”

To finish the interviews, the cast didn’t waste time to praise their former director, Zack Snyder, and repeat once more that this is his film and Whedon has done an amazing job following Zack’s instructions.

Ben Affleck was quick to point out that this is not Avengers and it doesn’t feel like this, as many have belief due to Whedon’s involvement.

“I didn’t sense that we were moving towards something that felt like The Avengers. Joss is more than just an Avengers director. He’s a good storyteller, full stop. In mid-stream, Joss got on and part of what interested him was the puzzle aspect of it, fitting in pieces that weren’t there yet. He put the rest of the pieces in and gave it his own imprimatur. Joss came in and walked a very fine line between Zack’s sensibility, tone, and direction. We found a really fun and inspiring synthesis of their two forms of storytelling. I was so glad everyone showed up to work for Zack.”

Gal Gadot, echoing Affleck’s words, repeated what she thought of Zack Snyder’s work.

“This is Zack Snyder’s movie. Joss only did a few weeks of reshoots. He was Zack’s guy and knew exactly what he wanted to get. He [Zack] has a beautiful vision.”

Momoa, true to his nature as a man of few words, had to say:

“I [frick]ing love Zack, man. I’d do anything for him.”

While Miller talked about is admiration for the director and his work, as well as how things went when Snyder left the film.

“It’s a heroic act at its route. He called each and every one of us and took the time to explain something that defies, in many ways, explanation. He told us exactly how it was going to go down, which was true to course. He fascinates and amazes and staggers me. Zack Snyder, ultimate [frick]ing legend. Forever.”

We will never truly know how much things have change from what was originally planned, but we just have to wait and see what comes when the League unites for the first time in the DCEU.
