‘GotG Vol. 2’ Soundtrack Has Gone Gold
The soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is one of the most praised things of the movie, due to how well it fitted in the scenes and the narrative of the film and how catchy they are.
In a facebook post, director James Gunn has celebrated that the soundtrack for Vol. 2 has gone gold with “over 500 thousand units sold in the US and over 1 million global album sales.”
In an interview with Super Interssante, James Gunn talked about how proud he is of the soundtrack and what differences it from the first one.
“The second soundtrack is great. I think it’s more diverse soundtrack. I think the first soundtrack [had] a bunch of songs that maybe you heard but didn’t know the name of the song – you didn’t know the name of the singer. In this one, we have some really incredibly famous songs and then some songs that people have never heard. So, it’s a much more diverse soundtrack.”
So far, Vol. 1 soundtrack has sold in the US over 1 million copies, while worldwide has sold 2.5 million. So, by the looks of it, Vol. 2 is on the right track.
