Lupita Nyong’o In Early Talks for ‘Charlie’s Angels’ Reboot
There’s a new reboot in town and this time it’s none other than Charlie’s Angels.
According to Deadline, the remake could very well star Academy Award winner, Lupita Nyong’o, with Twilight star, Kristen Stewart also said to be in early talks for a role as well.
A television series that ran from 1976 to 1981 starring Jaclyn Smith, Farrah Fawcett and Kate Jackson, Charlie’s Angels was a hit! In 2000, it was later made into a movie starring a new trio of Angels that included Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu.
The film version raked in an impressive $264 million worldwide and spawned a sequel, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle in 2003.
If this comes to fruition, Charlie’s Angels will follow-up two huge upcoming projects for Nyong’o which include this year’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the highly anticipated Marvel movie, Black Panther which is slated for a February 2018 release.
