Disney Channel Developing ‘Reimagined’ ‘Hocus Pocus’
Just in time for Halloween comes the Deadline report that Disney Channel is working on a “reimagining” of Hocus Pocus.
The original 1993 movie starred Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker as the Sanderson sisters, three witches who want to suck the souls from all the children in town so they can stay young forever. Yes, this is a Disney movie and a comedy.
It’s still considered a cult favorite and airs on TV every Halloween.
The new version will be a Disney Channel TV movie with only producer David Kirschner returning from the original.
Talk of a Hocus Pocus sequel swirls around Hollywood every Halloween, but this is the first time it’s actually been confirmed.
Freeform has a Hocus Pocus marathon scheduled for Halloween.
Will you tune in for a new Hocus Pocus?
