‘Star Wars’ Vet Temuera Morrison Wants to Bring Captain Rex to Live-Action Movies
With a few Easter Eggs in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm connected their live-action films to the popular animated series.
However, voice actor Temuera Morrison would like to see the projects become even more connected. He wants his character, Captain Rex, to appear in the movies.
This would be Morrison’s second on-screen role in a Star Wars film. He previously played Jango Fett in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones.

Jango is the bounty hunter the clone army is based on, and he’s also the father of Boba Fett.
In an interview with starwars.com, Morrison explained how he sees Rex fitting into the film franchise.
“They’re all in my Jango Fett line – I have clones lining up,” he said. “What’ll make me really happy is if I get the phone call asking me to play another character – an older Captain Rex or something. I want to pop in on one of these new ones, that would be great.”
Season four of Star Wars Rebels premieres Monday, Oct. 16 on Disney XD.
