Jay Elli’s has joined the cast of Sony’s psychological thriller, The Maze.
The thriller follows six strangers who are forced into unfortunate circumstances and must work together to survive. The premise is not entirely original, but simple premises can be the source of some inventive filmmaking. The writing and directing should do some heavy lifting, because that cast assembled so far looks very promising.
Ellis will be joining Tyler Labin, Nik Dodani, Deborah Ann Woll, Logan Miller and Taylor Russell. Adam Robitel will be directing the film. He has largely directed horror films, and was enlisted to film Insidious: The Last Key.
Ellis currently stars on HBO’s hit comedy series Insecure, and he is set to return for season 3. He will also appear Qasim Basir’s A Boy. A Girl. A Dream: Love on Election Night. He shares the screen with Meagan Good and Omari Hardwick.
