Mike Dougherty Gives First Look of Godzilla in ‘Godzilla: King of the Monsters’
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is currently filming. The sequel to Gareth Edwards’s 2014 Godzilla, is set to see the titular character face off against classic monsters Mothra, King Ghidora, and Rodan. Yesterday, on the 69th day of filming, the director of the new installment, Mike Dougherty, gave the world it’s first look at Godzilla in upcoming film.
Obviously this is not the final look of the monster. Instead, Dougherty gave us a behind the scenes look of what the monster looks like during the production stage. This reminds us how impressive the actors and actresses are, who have to pretend the massive creatures are actually there. Which is why this film has enlisted such an impressive cast, consisting of O’shea Jackson Jr., Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, and Vera Farmiga.
This film is going to be the last film before the epic show down between Godzilla and King Kong. King Kong recently debuted in his own film, Kong: Skull Island. Godzilla v. Kong is set to hit theaters on May 22, 2020, following Godzilla: King of the Monsters which will be released March 22, 2019.
