BTS Break Records With ‘Love Yourself: Her’ Album & ‘DNA’ Video

It’s BTS’ world and we’re just living in it.

The seven-member male k-pop group out from South Korea have had quite a successful week with the release of their newest album Love Yourself: Her and with the release of their new music video “DNA”. The album’s Korean preorders alone surpassed the one million mark within the first week it was available and the MV garnered 20 million views on YouTube within 20 hours of its release, destroying records by Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and Rihanna and becoming the sixth fastest viewed music video in history. It’s viewer count currently sits at over 45 million views and is still steadily climbing.

Last month the group shared a stage with legendary Korean icon Seo Taij where he informed them that “This is your generation now” and so far they seem to be living up to it. Their new album consists of nine tracks with one of them being their acceptance speech for winning Top Social Artist at the BBMAs in May and another song called “Best of Me” which was a collaboration with The ChainSmokers.

LOVE YOURSELF: Her currently holds the #1 spot on Itunes’ top selling albums list in 73 countries and on three continents. Their music video for their title track “DNA” can be seen here.

  1. Yup I’ve listened to it! While DNA is the title track I think MIC Drop and Go Go are the best songs. So hopefully the people who stop by the MV will give the album a listen too. As for the records they’ve been breaking, its unreal. I remember the struggle to get 1 million views when they first burst onto the scene. Many people overlooked them because they were not a part of one of the big labels. But it seems nobody will be overlooking them now. 😀
