Rumor Alert: Iris West Scenes Cut From ‘Justice League’

It’s not uncommon for the puzzle pieces that make for a great movie to be rearranged constantly. Sometimes things are filmed and never make it to the final cut. Even actors film scenes that never make it into the film and fans would have never known they were in the film without the Extra Features on the DVD. It sounds like this might be the case for Kiersey Clemons’ portrayal of Iris West in the upcoming release of Justice League.

Although not officially confirmed, Batman News is reporting that Iris West’s scenes have been cut from the film entirely. The same thing happened with Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor for the same film and even happened with Jena Malone’s character in Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice.

These things are not uncommon and usually happen to polish the flow of a film and to eliminate parts that take away from the story being told. Select audiences have recently attended test screenings for the film and it’s possible that an attendee could have revealed this information on the most recent cut of the film. If this rumor is true, its possible that Clemons’ character could be added back in as well. Guess we will find out when the film is finally released.

What do you think of this news? Were you looking forward to the DCEU’s take on Iris West? Let us know in the comments below.
