Linda Hamilton Brings Back Sarah COnner for ‘Terminator 6’

The final piece of the Terminator puzzle is in place, as James Cameron announced that Linda Hamilton will reprise the iconic Sarah Conner for the planned Terminator 6.

With Cameron, Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger all on board for the reset of the franchise, the band is officially back together. Fingers crossed for a Michael Biehn announcement soon.

Deadpool’s Tim Miller is set as director for the film, which is described as a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day.

Cameron made the announcement at a special T2 screening featuring a Q&A with he and Miller.

“There are 50-year-old, 60-year-old guys out there killing bad guys,” said Cameron. “But there isn’t an example of that for women.”

The film is also seen as a launching pad for a new trilogy with another strong leading lady.

“We’re starting a search for an 18-something woman to be the new centerpiece of the new story,” said Cameron. “We still fold time. We will have characters from the future and the present. There will be mostly new characters, but we’ll have Arnold and Linda’s characters to anchor it.”

To map out the next chapter, Cameron and Miller put together a writer’s room that included David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight), Charles Eglee (Dark Angel), Josh Friedman (The Sarah Conner Chronicles) and Justin Rhodes.

It appears just like Skynet, these films will not die.

Are you excited to see Sarah Conner again?
