Jessica Chastain Produced Film ‘Painkiller Jane’ Finds Writer
Last year, Oscar nominated actress Jessica Chastain announced plans to produce and star in a film adaption of the comic series Painkiller Jane. But not much development has come ever since Chastain expressed her desire to produce the project until now. Deadline is reporting that Lotus Entertainment has hired Christine Boylan to pen the script for the potential action film.
Boylan is currently a writer and producer on the show Once Upon A Time and her credits also include the series Constantine, Leverage, and Castle. Surely her hiring is a positive indication that the film is actively moving forward.

Painkiller Jane was created by Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada and centers around a New York City police officer named Jane Vasko who gets recruited by the FBI to infiltrate a crime ring. But after having a near death experience, she is given regenerative capabilities and goes on a revenge spree to kill the people who destroyed her life.
