Tim Miller Confirmed as Director for ‘Terminator 6’
As one the most influential film franchises of all time, The Terminator remains a part of pop culture discussions.
Since Terminator 2: Judgement Day, the movies have become progressively worse in box office and quality. The failure of Terminator Genisys signaled a possible final end for Skynet.
However, the silver lining of that film’s flop is that the rights for the franchise will revert back to James Cameron in 2019. With that in mind it has been announced that Deadpool director Tim Miller will helm Terminator 6, with Cameron producing.

Cameron has said the reboot will wipe the slate of everything after T2. This will come as good news to longtime fans, since all the films post Judgement Day have muddied the original story.
There’s also a question of how much Cameron will really be involved, as he’s currently working on the four Avatar sequels.
All these things may become more clear after the two filmmakers appear together for a conversation before a special screening of Terminator 2 on the Paramount Lot in Hollywood.
