Clark Gregg to Direct Season Five Episode of ‘Agents of SHIELD’
Clark Gregg’s Phil Coulson is the leader of SHIELD and the reason Agents of SHIELD became a series. Now, Gregg is taking that leadership behind the camera when he finally directs an episode during the show’s upcoming fifth season.
Gregg made the reveal when a fan asked him on Twitter if he would direct an episode and he replied that he was directing his first one this week.
I'm directing my first one starting this week. #DaisyDatesanAlien

Gregg is an accomplished director who has helmed the films Choke and Trust Me, along with the short A Breakfast Nook.
When we last saw the SHIELD team, they had just defeated evil robot AIDA and were waiting for the consequences at a local diner when mysterious agents burst in and froze everyone. In the next scene Coulson awoke on a space station.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD returns to ABC for its fifth season Fridays at 9 pm later this year.
