Garret Dillahunt Joins ‘The Gifted’ as Villain Roderick Campbell
There’s been a lot of talk about which mutants will appear in FOX’s new X-Men series The Gifted. Now, we’ve got a little information about one of the villains.
Deadline is reporting that TV vet Garret Dillahunt is set to recur as Roderick Campbell. He’s described as “professional, intense, and intimidating with a morally dubious mission yet to be revealed.”

In the comics Campbell was a psychologist friend of Moira McTaggart who found out that he was the evil Ahab in an alternate reality.
Ahab was the leader of The Hounds, a government program that hunted mutants and put them in internment camps.
The Gifted is set in the X-Men universe and features a world where mutants are outlawed and live in secret. In the story the X-Men have disappeared and no one knows if they’re still around.
Since the series follows a regular family who goes on the run when their teenagers develop mutant powers, it’s a safe bet that the TV version of Campbell may be a mix of his two iterations.
The Gifted premieres Monday, Oct. 2 at 9 pm on FOX and stars Amy Acker, Stephen Moyer, Natalie Alyn Lind, Percy Hynes, Sean Teale, Emma Dumont, Blair Redford, Jamie Chung and Coby Bell.
