Rumor Alert: ‘Titans’ to Include Acolyte as a Villain
DC’s live-action Titans series is busy putting its team together with a rash of casting announcements. However, there has been no information on what villain the young heroes will be fighting.
Now that has changed with a report from That Hashtag Show that says a recent DC casting call has revealed the big bad to be Young Justice villain Acolyte.
The Acolyte – Male. African-American 40-50. Confident. The villain of our story. He is after Rachel and her powers, trying to kidnap her after he murders her mother.

Apparently he is obsessed with Rachel/Raven (Teagan Croft) and her powers. There is also a character description for Rachel’s mother.
Angela – Female 40-50. Rachel’s (adoptive) mom. She gets killed in an attempt to kidnap Rachel.
Acolyte’s blue-skinned, demonic appearance hides his real human identity. He is obsessed with Gods and claims to be an immortal meta-human. Of course DC is known for making changes to its TV villains so they can better fit in with established stories and characters.
Titans stars Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Anna Diop as Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven, Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove. The series is set to premiere sometime in 2018 on DC’s new streaming service.
