RUMOR ALERT: Clint Barton Set To Take On An Alternate Heroic Identity In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’
Clint Barton, a Marvel character with an extensive history and series of alternate identities, will remove his title as Hawkeye within the new Avengers film and become the samurai-styled protagonist, Ronin! A mantle which was first donned by Maya Lopez and has been granted to individuals such as Red Guardian and even Blade!
Now, this piece of information comes from MCU Exchange but it’s source is the same individual who accurately indicated that The Black Order would be Thanos’s children and that Steve Rogers would have a different look in the new film. But, with some chunk of this cinematic story taking place in Japan and Jeremy Renner donning a new physical look on set, this rumor does some have substantial basis to it.
The MCU Exchange also adds that Barton will assume the identity due to an “event” in Infinity War which will leave Barton in a “very dark place” and make him assume a darker ideology, speculation leads that to be Barton’s family dying by Thanos’s hand, rather gauntlet.
