After spending some time in development linbo, it appears that Fox has finally greenlit the highly anticipated X-Force film. Not only that, Deadline is reporting that famed director Drew Goddard has been tapped to write and direct the film. Goddard is no stranger to comicbook properties as he is the mind behind the Netflix original Marvel series Daredevil and was also slated to write the now scrapped Sinister Six film for Sony’s growing Spider-Man universe.

Deadpool is reported to be leading our favorite mutant black ops team. Cable and Domino will be appearing in the upcoming Deadpool sequel so it goes without saying that they will be apart of the team roster as well. But nothing has been confirmed just yet. X-Force is definitely a more gritty, mature, darker team of mutants compared to their X-Men counterparts and if the Daredevil series or Logan are any representation of what audiences can potentially expect from an X-Force film, we are in for a cinematic treat.

What do you think GOC fam? Do you think Drew Goddard is the right man for the job? Let us know in the comments below!
