The Killjoys Will Get Two Final Seasons
It’s official: The Killjoys is getting two final seasons. The Canadian Science fiction show centers around three bounty hunters with the highest level of security clearance and while they are supposed to be remaining neutral, things don’t always go according to that plan. The show is co-produced by the Syfy Channel and it premiered back in 2015.
According to The Wrap, the channel is giving the show’s showrunners two seasons to wrap up everything, and if we’re being honest, that’s way more notice than most tend to get. The show’s executive producers (also co-presidents of Boat Rocker Studios) David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, agree and have released a statement about the ability to end the show the way they want to:
“A final two-season order is a huge vote of confidence for a show that keeps getting better and better. We are so proud of the support ‘Killjoys’ has received from critics and fans alike, and are thrilled to plan a deserving ending for Dutch and the Jaqobis brothers; it has been an incredible intergalactic journey and we could not have wished for better partners to share the ride.”
Both season four and season five will consist of ten episodes each with the fourth season airing in 2018 and season five airing sometime after that.
