Black-ish spinoff Grown-ish is rounding out its freshman class with two new series regulars and two recurring players.
Francia Raisa (The Secret Life of the American Teenager) will join Yara Shahidi’s Zoey as Ana, “an outspoken conservative freshman.”
The show has also added Jordan Buhat (Summer of ’84) as Vivek, “a first generation Indian-American freshman who has an endearing lack of self-awareness.”
They will be joined by musicians Chloe X Halle, who will recur as “twin sisters Sky and Jazz, members of the college’s track team.” The singing sisters are fresh off opening for Beyonce on the European leg of The Formation World Tour.
Grown-ish follows Zoey Johnson through her college years at Southern California University. It is also executive produced by Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, as well as series stars Anthony Anderson and Laurence Fishburne.
The new cast members will join previously announced series regulars Emily Arlook, Trevor Jackson, Chris Parnell and Deon Cole, who reprises the role of Charlie.
Grown-ish is set to premiere on Freeform in early 2018.
