The development studio (Supermassive Games) behind PlayStation’s 2015 sleeper-hit Until Dawn has released a new trailer for their impending new title, The Inpatient. The PlayStation VR prequel takes place six decades before the events of Until Dawn, and will drop players in Blackwood Sanatorium. Check out The Inpatient’s new story trailer below:

The game’s synopsis is as follows:

“Discover who you are before it’s too late in The Inpatient; a PS VR Exclusive set in the Blackwood Sanatorium, over 60 years prior to the 2016 BAFTA award-winning Until Dawn.

“With deep immersion that places YOU in the game, you take on the role of an amnesiac inpatient who must find out who you are and why you are in the Sanatorium. With a branching narrative, and different endings; every choice you make can drastically affect the way the game plays out.”

The Inpatient launches exclusively on PlayStation VR on November 21. However, this isn’t the only new release coming out of Supermassive this year. The developer is also working on Hidden Agenda, a crime thriller for the PS4 that will use PlayLink. Read here to learn more about Hidden Agenda and PlayLink.
