YouTube Star Megan Nicole Will Create a Music Video for “DC Super Hero Girls”

The DC Super Hero Girls franchise continues to grow, after having their brand of toys, their own animated series and graphic novels, this time with a new music video by YouTube star Megan Nicole.

Nicole became a YouTube star by mixing covers of hit songs and making her own original songs, which gain her more than four million subscribers and a place on Billboard’s “Social 50” chart.

She has a partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, that’ll see results with this new music video featuring Megan’s version of DC Super Hero Girls Theme Get Your Cape On, where she’ll unite with Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Batgirl and more.

In a statement, Pam Lifford, WBCP president, revealed the news:

“We’re excited to partner with Megan Nicole as she teams up with our DC Super Hero Girls franchise. We continue our efforts to reinforce our message of empowerment by encouraging young fans around the world to embrace their inner strength and make a difference. WBCP and Megan Nicole celebrate the spirit of DC Super Hero Girls in this all-new take of the ‘Get Your Cape On!’ music video to inspire kids to be positive, proud and powerful.”

When talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Megan said she’s excited for this next project.

“I’m thrilled to team up with DC Super Hero Girls and get my cape on in celebration of the power in all of us. I love DC Super Hero Girls’ message of inspiration to be strong, supportive, and true to yourself. I know when other fans watch this video, they’ll feel the same way I do.”

The Get Your Cape On video will debut September 8, on the official DC Super Hero Girls YouTube channel, the webpage DCSuperHeroGirls.com and the app DC Super Hero Girls.
