‘Stranger Things’ Creators May End The Series after 4th Season

With Fall television creeping around the corner, the anticipation for Netflix’s second season of Stranger Things is at an all time high. The show-runners, Matt & Ross Duffer, gave us two scoops for one in their most recent interview with Vulture.

Firstly, they blessed us in confirming the show’s almost inevitable return for a 3rd and 4th season! Its only right too, as Netflix gained quite a few nominations from their first season and even snagged four award wins. Now here’s the dagger, the show’s 4th season may be its last unfortunately. Ross Duffer went on to say,

“We’re thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out.”

Matt Duffer follows up and says:

“We just have to keep adjusting the story. Though I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year.”

While The Upside Down is sure to have a number of unknown threats, I can understand how the Duffer Brothers don’t want to exhaust what’s so good about the series. There’s nothing worse than a good show over staying  its welcome by putting out lackluster seasons and storylines for the sake of keeping the show on air. One thing’s for sure, with this season’s threat said to look quaint compared to season 1’s Demogorgon, I’m more than amped for this year’s season.

Stranger Things season 2 hits Netflix October 27, 2017! Are you excited?
