With Battlefront II arriving in just a few months, a new trailer has emerged revealing a brand new mode called Starfighter Assault.
The game mode is essentially a huge 24-player battle in space and allows you to choose from the three different Star Wars eras: the prequel, original, and sequel trilogies. The trailer showcases Resistance X-Wing Starfighters and the legendary Millennium Falcon attacking a fleet of First Order fighters, en route towards the First Order Destroyer.
A Starfighter Assault demonstration will be livestreamed by EA on Monday, August 21 via Gamescom.
Battlefront II will introduce a new story mode that begins with the Battle of Endor and continues through the birth of the First Order. You’ll play as Commander Iden Versio, leader of the Galactic Empire’s elite Inferno Squad, who faces a crippling defeat on Endor following the destruction of the second Death Star. As Iden’s team sets off on “an extraordinary odyssey of revenge, betrayal and redemption,” players are whisked away on a 30-year journey, beginning with the events of Return of the Jedi, all the way to The Force Awakens.
Star Wars Battlefront II will be available November 17 on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
