Ancient Egypt Shines in Assassin’s Creed Origins CGI Trailer

Assassin’s Creed’s return is quickly approaching, and Ubisoft showed off a new cinematic trailer during Xbox’s pre-Gamescom event. This fresh look at AC Origins is CGI, so in-game graphics aren’t on display, but these three minutes are still a gorgeous feat. Honestly, an Assassin’s Creed trailer hasn’t been this engaging since the Ezio Trilogy. Check out the trailer below:

Featured in the footage are historical figures such as Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, and Ptolemy. What role they will actively play in the game itself should prove interesting, as Origins is supposedly going to explore, well, the origins of the Assassin’s Order.

The game’s main character, Bayek, also gets a few shots to shine, showing off his resourcefulness in combat which will hopefully translate well in gameplay. Not much of the story has been teased since the title’s E3 announcement. Therefore, there’s still plenty of details being kept under wraps.

Assassin’s Creed Origins hits PS4, PC, and Xbox One on October 27… alongside Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and the Switch’s release of Mario Odyssey. The last Friday of October is going to be a busy one — Stranger Things begins streaming that day as well; what are you going to tackle first? Tell us in the comments below.
