‘Hunger Games’ and ‘Twilight’ Theme Parks Coming to South Korea
Several Liongate films, including The Twilight Saga, The Hunger Games, and Now You See Me are confirmed to get outdoor attractions at a Lionsgate-themed amusement park in South Korea. Lionsgate announced on Tuesday that it licensed its properties to Landing Jeju Development to create new theme parks for their properties in 2019. Lionsgate is also licensing theme parks for upcoming films, including Robin Hood.
The theme park is set to take up 1.3 million square feet, which will include rides, themed areas, restaurants, giftshops, and outdoor performance areas. Altogether, it will be divided into 7 movie-themed zones, with Lionsgate expected to announce the rest of the theme park properties in the near future.
Outside of the Lionsgate section of the park, the resort will include hotels, a waterpark, a spa, a casino, and a K-pop entertainment center.

According to Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer in a statement,
“We’re pleased to partner with our friends at Landing International, one of Asia’s premier developers, on our first branded outdoor theme park and one of our largest and most exciting location-based entertainment destinations.”
So far, it’s anyone’s guess how these films could be integrated into a theme park. Do you have any ride ideas for Twilight or Now You See Me? Let us know in the comments!
