With all the companies wanting to open their own streaming services, it looks like Netflix will continue to make original content, specifically young adult series, a trending that started with 13 Reasons Why.
This time, Netflix is picking up an eight-episode British drama that will tell “a teenage love story with supernatural twists.” The show was created and written by Hania Elkington and Simon Duric and will be produced by New Pictures, a UK company which is behind another supernatural British drama series also picked up by Netflix, Requiem.
Six out of the eight episodes are set to be directed by Farren Blackburn (Daredevil, Dr. Who) and filming is set to take place in the U.K. and Norway.
According to United Agents, the tittle of the show might be The Innocents, but nothing is official yet, so the tittle could change.
