Donald Glover says Atlanta Season 2 is “Almost Ready”
In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1, actor/musician/writer/and much more, Donald Glover talked about his music, his life and of course, the upcoming return of his show Atlanta. The ten episode comedy series he created on FX focuses on a struggling young dad attempting to do better for himself and his child and was nominated for 2 Emmy awards and 2 Golden Globes this year and even won both of the Globes (Remember when he thanked The Migos for creating “Bad and Bougie” during his acceptance speech? Iconic AF).
During the interview he talks about finding time to work on the show and about his high expectations for the when it returns:
“I’m not the type of person to rush anything. I feel like if you rush it, you’ll start to get something you don’t want and then you start to question why you even liked it. I’m not gonna make anything until it’s ready. But to be completely honest, it’s almost ready. I’m pretty happy with a lot of the things, and I think it’s better than the first season.”
Season 2 of Atlanta got pushed back due to Glover spending his summer filming the young Han Solo movie, where he will be playing Lando Calrissian which is currently scheduled to be released next May.
