Sugar Lyn Beard Joins ‘The Flash’ as Hazard
The Flash is adding to its already fun list of rogues by casting Sugar Lyn Beard (Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates) as Rebecca Sharpe/Hazard.
Hazard uses her psionic powers to control probabilities. On TV Rebecca will be “perpetually down on her luck” and got her powers from a “freak accident,” which sounds like the particle accelerator.
Of course, the Arrowverse often changes character’s backstories and motivations to fit the storylines of its series, so we won’t know what form she takes until her episode airs.
Right now Hazard is set to appear in the third episode of season four.
Beard joins a list of newcomers that includes Hartley Sawyer as The Elongated Man, Neil Sandilands as the season’s big bad The Thinker, Kim Engelbrecht as The Mechanic and Danny Trejo as Breacher, a bounty hunter from one of the many other Earths.
Season three revolved around Barry’s fight with Savitar and ended with him sacrificing himself to the Speed Force.
Producers are looking to lighten the mood for season four, saying they want to return to the jokes.
The fourth season of The Flash premieres Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 8 pm on The CW.
