Terminator, a generally-renowned fantasy/science-fiction franchise which features Arnold Schwarzenegger as the lead who also happens to be a robot who allows murderous (and explosive) hijinks to ensue.

Well, for fans of the franchise hopefully this news is something to rejoice in, James Cameron will regain the rights to Terminator in 2019 and he’s already made plans with the conglomerate who currently holds the rights to produce a brand-new trilogy. Now, in an interview with The Playlist, Arnold Schwarzenegger talked about the next installment saying “In March next year, I am shooting Terminator 6, James Cameron and David Ellison are back on board and then comes a Conan.” which means that the new film will be a new trilogy set within the original continuity, in similar vein to The Force Awakens.

Whatever direction they go in, I expect James Cameron to revitalize the franchise into something watchable.

  1. Shouldn’t it be called Terminator 5? Genisys should be wiped from the history of the franchise and everyone can just pretend it never happened.
Like they did with Deadpool in Origins.

  2. Can’t go wrong with James Cameron back on board…that’s a busy dude, Terminator and Avatar sequels whew…

    1. More like, just Terminator. Lmao. Those Avatar sequels have been on halt forever.
